As you all know, we are in the middle of a Corona crisis. Unfortunately, there are now also several cases in Ghana. Currently there are 214 infected patients, 5 deaths, and this number is only increasing. We received a video message from Dr. Vitalis and the bishop in which they indicate that the WGH is not ready for a large flow of new corona patients. The hospital does not have the (financial) resources to fight against the virus, the amount of masks, gloves and disinfectant is scarce, just like the amount of beds. Furthermore, the students who were doing their internship in Ghana unfortunately had to return to the Netherlands. The students who would soon go, can’t leave. This also means that the doctors in the WGH have therefore less staff available for the new flow of corona patients. For all the reasons above we have decided to organize an event to raise money for the WGH, to assist them financially as much as possible. We need your help with that!
